Health Inspector

The City of Beeville Texas Health Department offers a variety of services to ensure the health and safety of our community. Our mission is to protect and promote the well-being of our citizens.

Food Establishment Section:

Food safety is crucial for protecting public health and preventing food-borne illnesses. To maintain food safety in our city, we collaborate with operators and employees of food service establishments. Key points include:

  • Inspection Frequency: Food establishments are typically inspected twice a year. If this isn't possible, inspections will be prioritized based on risk.
  • Employee Training: Food handlers receive training, and food managers are certified in safe food preparation and storage.
  • Permits and Fees: All food service providers must obtain the necessary permits and pay the required fees before starting operations.

Our inspections follow the TEXAS FOOD ESTABLISHMENT RULES (TFER-25 TAC Chapter 229.161-229.171, 229.173-229.175) along with local guidelines.

Additional Services:

The Health Department Food Establishment Section also handles:

  • Foster Care, Child-Care, & Adult Care Inspections: Fee required.
  • Health & Food Vendor Permits: Fee required.
  • Wholesalers Permits: Fee required.
  • Retail Permits: Fee required.
