City Employee Benefits


The City of Beeville offers competitive salaries and benefits for regular, full-time employees.


Insurance

The City of Beeville provides medical and basic life insurance for employees at no cost. Dependents may be covered under these plans at group rates.

 

All employees are covered by workers' compensation for injuries sustained in the line of duty.


Holidays

Employees receive 20 paid holidays per year (including Heritage Day).


Vacation (Non-Civil Service Employees)

Vacation time:

Less than 5 years’ service 
                12 days per year
Five to 10 years of service
                 13 days per year
10 years, but less than 15 years
        14 days per year
15 years or more
                        15 days per year

                     

Sick Leave 

Full-time employees earn 12 days of sick leave per year.
Part-time employees earn 6.5 days of sick leave per year


Paid Parental Leave
12 weeks paid parental leave to run concurrent with FMLA (if the employee qualifies) for eligible employees following the birth (including post-pregnancy disability relating to childbirth), adoption or foster care placement of a child with an employee to give parents time to bond with their new child, adjust to their new family situation, balance personal and professional obligations and provide base salary continuation.

Retirement

The City of Beeville participates in the Texas Municipal Retirement System. Employees contribute 5% of their salary to the program and are vested after 5 years of service. Upon retirement, the City of Beeville will match the employee's contribution 2 to 1.
